For cutting of plate up to 150mm thick we use the oxy/propane gas profile torch mounted on our plasma cutting machine. While not a high precision method, it is the fastest way to profile cut steel above 25mm thick.

Minimum hole sizes:

For the best quality holes they generally should no smaller in diameter than the plate thickness you are cutting.
